Superb grilled eel and rice in a lacquered box prepared by expert chefs

This restaurant serves very rare Kyosui eels, grown in the Oi River.  For dinner courses, they offer smoked eel liver, grilled eels, and eel shabu-shabu (sliced eel parboiled in hot soup).  Unaju (grilled eel topped on rice in a lacquered box) comes in four kinds (from 2,600 yen) and delivery service is available.  For take away, it is served in a box as in the photo.  This Michelin one star-rated restaurant is proud of its tender and juicy eels.  Aside from grilled eels, nicely cooked steamed rice and Japanese-style rolled omelet is also tempting.  Enjoy eels both for here or to go.
