Beautiful Teppan-yaki course spiced up with a French touch

Beautifully polished iron griddles shine brightly inside the relaxing space where one can feel the ambience of a traditional Kyoto townhouse.  Teppan-yaki Aoi is a popular restaurant amongst the gourmets for its sophisticated dishes that match the restaurant’s ambience.  The chef, Kenji Hirashima, previously worked at the French restaurant, Amuse, and the appetizers reflect his French culinary training and creative sense to make a satisfying course.  The ingredients for the main Teppan-yaki dish, Japanese beef, seafood and vegetables, are all strictly selected and cooked to perfection.  The lively cooking scene filled with sounds and smells will surely whet your appetite.
