Feel the refreshing air nurtured by river, wind and forest
Kifune Club is a wooden house café located beside clear waters of the Kifune River. Inside is built of reused wood from of old houses, its timbers are coated by using sour persimmon lacquer, also there are antique chairs designed by Togo Murano and a Nestor Martin wood stove. There is a wonderful feeling of warmth and special aroma from the wood. The café is built to be ventilated naturally with fewer walls so that people can easily feel the flow of clean air nurtured from the river, wind and forest. You can relax and enjoy tea and meals while appreciating the soothing nature. The café offers a special matcha (powdered green tea) parfait using matcha ice cream and matcha warabi-mochi (bracken-starch dumpling) for 1,200 yen. Gelato and green tea with dry confectionery are also on the menu. It's a great place to drop in after paying a visit to Kifune Shrine.
